music in my style
The instruments we teach at SonoArte are the most appreciated by professional musicians and students today. Our teachers are trained to teach them effectively and with a methodology aimed at preparing students as performers of other pieces, but also as creators of their own music, always achieving this in their own style.
The Sono Arte pianist is an integral musician, capable of interpreting classical piano pieces with the same ease with which he achieves a successful arrangement for a modern music band. For this, we base our exclusive method on the merger of classical piano study and modern harmony, with the application of technological innovations that today enrich the possibilities of this instrument. At the end of the course, our pianists can compete professionally as musicians in today's world.
The small groups and semi-private classes allow our teachers to interact with each student and assess their needs without affecting the performance and evolution of others, which translates into a more effective and quick learning, provided that regular practice at home impose on the student's routine.
Our complete program adapts to the needs of children and adults who are just beginning to study music, and those who have prior knowledge and wish to make perfect their technique.
In order to achieve the best results our students will study the following topics in our course:
* Technique and position.
* Music theory, notation, solfege.
* Scales
* Chord formation; its function in the accompaniment and harmony.
* Improvisation
* Composition
* Use of keyboard functions as a technological tool.
At the end of the course, the student should handle the tools given by his instructor so that he is an impeccable performer and a creative initiate, having the interpretative capacity to face any scenario and a skill of composition, arrangements and integration of the keyboard or piano as an instrument of accompaniment in all styles and musical situations.
While the rudiments and exercises give the apprentice the interpretive skill in the instrument, the rhythmic study through the most innovative technological strategies and the musical reading are the basis of a drummer graduated from Sono Arte.
This, added to the semi-private nature of the course that allows our instructors to personalize the classes, makes our method exceed the expectations of any drummer of a group, whether in popular music, academic or contemporary.
Through 10 units, students will learn step by step aspects as varied as:
* History of Drums.
* Theory, reading and solfege.
* Execution of rhythms.
* Rudiments and their combinations.
* Complementary hits.
* Transcription of songs.
* Polirithms.
* Tuning and drum set up.
* Tricks with sticks and brushes.
* Improvisation
* Analysis of songs.
At the end of the course, the student will have developed the interpretative capacity to face any scenario and a skill of composition, arrangements and integration of the drums as an instrument of accompaniment in all styles and musical situations.

Sono Arte promotes the learning of the acoustic guitar through 2 approaches: Popular Acoustic Guitar, which seeks to be a clear element of voice accompaniment; and Classical Guitar, as the main tool in the interpretation of academic compositions. The student can choose his / her vocation, either by choosing one of the two aspects or by choosing a combination of both approaches.
The study of the electric guitar is done from an interpretative and creative perspective, using the most modern and fun technological tools. In our courses, learning becomes an enjoyable process that leaves students with a clean, correct technique, which is a first objective in our method. In addition, we use music theory as a tool that inspires composition and improvisation, making the Sono Arte guitarist project himself as an integral musician within the requirements of contemporary expression.
Our electric guitar course consists of two major levels: Electric Guitar I and Electric Guitar II. Both levels are made up of 12 mandatory units and 3 elective units.
ELECTRIC GUITAR I
It is the beginning of everything, the basis of our musicians. That is why the first units of this level are aimed at the development of proper, clean, professional technique. This is achieved through multiple exercises that allow the enjoyment of the student while learning the academic principles of position, so necessary when executing demanding pieces from the interpretative point of view.
The intermediate units are designed so that our students enjoy playing, feel musicians, build their own bands, without the risk of bad technique and with great emphasis on their primary motivation: Play and enjoy. These units also allow us to bring them closer to different musical styles and approach the musical theory.
The superior units are linked to the principles of application of the theory in practice, through the introduction of each theoretical tool in the context of its application for creative development. The ultimate goal is to achieve free musicians, who can experiment with their own knowledge, either arranging songs, composing, or playing the music of others with total self confidence.
ELECTRIC GUITAR II
Our level of Electric Guitar II is aimed at those who wish to deepen their theoretical-practical knowledge of the instrument, which by then they dominate with ease and solidity.
Although this course is more flexible to the specific needs of the participant, those who finish the level will achieve a complete mastery of the principles of modal harmony and its application in contemporary music, in addition to the following aspects:
* Techniques for replacing chords and comping.
* Use of harmonic tension, of the harmonic minor scale, its harmonization and application.
* Use of scales and arpeggios diminished and increased.
* Full tone scale and other non-diatonic tools.
To pass this level the student must submit 4 original compositions: One modal, one using the minor harmonic scale, one major blues and one minor blues, making use of all the tools for replacing chords and non-diatonic scales.

In the teaching of electric bass technique and precision in execution are synonymous with solidity. No wonder then that the first objective of our program is designed for our students to acquire these skills. However, the electric bass constitutes in the modern music the harmonic instrument par excellence and for a successful performance requires extensive theoretical-musical knowledge that allow to compose effective bass lines. The understanding and correct application of theoretical bases constitute the second pillar of our method of instruction for electric bass.
Our electric bass course consists of two main levels: Electric bass I and Electric bass II.
ELECTRIC BASS I
The first units of this level are aimed at the development of appropriate, clean, professional technique. This is achieved through multiple exercises that allow the enjoyment of the student while learning the academic principles of position, so necessary when executing demanding pieces from the interpretive point of view.
The intermediate units are designed so that our students enjoy playing, feel musicians, build their own bands, without the risk of bad technique and with great emphasis on their primary motivation: Play and enjoy. The ultimate goal is to achieve free musicians, who can experiment with their own knowledge, either arranging songs, composing, or playing the music of others with total self confidence.
ELECTRIC BASS II
Our level of Electric Bass II is aimed at those who wish to deepen their theoretical-practical knowledge of the instrument, which by then they dominate with ease and solidity. The harmonic nature of the instrument is studied in greater depth at this level.
Although this course is more flexible to the specific needs of the participant, those who complete the level will achieve a complete mastery of the principles of modal harmony and its application in bass lines in various musical styles, in addition to the following aspects:
* Techniques to substitute chords applied to the instrument, as well as the use and creation of walking bass.
* Use of the principle of harmonic tension as a fundamental element of enrichment of the arrangements.
* The harmonic minor scale, its harmonization and application.
* Use of scales and arpeggios diminished and increased.
* Scale of complete tones and other non-diatonic tools in the dynamics of the instrument.

In our Violin course we seek to tear down the myth of the insurmountable difficulty of this instrument by leading the student to small advances from the first day. Consequently, the teaching of long hours of theory before the execution is discarded, adopting a pedagogy of immediate contact in which theory and practice are developed in parallel.
Here the knowledge of this classical instrument is combined with pieces that range from the academic to the popular offering our students the vast range of musical possibilities. Our teaching program focuses on:

The Ukulele, a small string instrument from Hawaii and French Polynesia. He stopped being associated with these cultures to be immersed in a more globalized one that feels fascinated by his sharp but sweet register. Its recent popularity among students can be attributed to three major interests:
1.- Small children with interest in a friendly and accessible string instrument for those little fingers.
2.- Musicians of any age who want to expand their range to a new instrument of "exotic" acoustic sonority.
3.- Music students excited about the possibilities of the instrument and eager to master their alternatives through knowledge of techniques and theory applied to the instrument.
In Sono Arte, learning Ukulele adapts to any of these needs.
